Is It Yours?

Energy affects you every second of the day and as energy is positive and negative, it can affect your thoughts, emotions, moods and feelings.

For example, if you are at a party and everyone is enjoying themselves and generally having a good time, you can get swept up in the mood and find yourself feeling uplifted, happy and in a good, positive mood yourself.

But on the flip side if you are around a person or people who are depressed, moaning, complaining a lot, feeling low, stressed, down, any of these generally negative feelings, you might well find yourself feeling a little low too.

What happens whether it is on a positive note or a negative note, is that you begin to pick up moods, thoughts, emotions or feelings of others and not forgetting, places can also affect your thoughts, feelings, moods and emotions too.

If the world was a happy, calm, kind place all the time, I would not even need to write this blog but because the world can be negative, one of the key questions you can ask yourself next time you feel irritated, depressed, stressed, overwhelmed or negative, is, ‘Is it yours?’ Because so much of what you take on is not actually all yours, a lot of it is what you have picked up from other people, places, social media, the news, television programmes and so on.

Simply asking yourself ‘Is it Yours?’ helps dissipate the energy and some of that energy that is not yours begins to leave your system.

3 different ways you can shake off negative energy, raise your vibration and place yourself in a positive balance -

1.     If you know you are going into a negative situation whether in person or on a telephone call, place a golden bubble of light around you. This acts as a buffer against negativity, which helps you remain in the state of mind you were in before you go into that situation.

2.     Watch a feel good film, this immediately lifts your mood, because laughter is one of life’s best tonics for your health, and even watching the same movie again, if you laugh, it raises your vibration, so anything you might have picked up off other people is shaken off with your laughter.

3.     Take a moment, close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing and with every inward breath think of the word UP, and with every outward breath think of the word UP. Continue this for a few minutes. Breathing works wonders for your wellbeing, but with the added input of thinking of the word UP, this takes you UP, raising your vibration.

So, next time you are feeling out of sorts, or any of the negative feelings, make a note to check in with yourself, how much is yours and how much you have picked up from someone or somewhere else.
