Energy affects us every single moment of every day.
Feeling drained by everyone else's energy? Thoughts, feelings, emotions, moods all affect us and believe it or not, literally by being with someone, it could be a work colleague, a family member or even a friend and if they are feeling a bit down, depressed or even angry, whatever the emotion is, it can affect us.

Energy is positive and negative.
Have you ever been somewhere and the energy of the place has made you feel fabulous, for example, sitting on bench gazing out at sea, with the sunshine dappling on the ocean, listening to the sound of the waves and the birds singing.
All these things are energy and this affects us too.
Places, people, situations, everything you can think of affects your energy, as everything is energy.
And coming back to people, if you find you are one of those people who can never say no, this can have a huge impact on your energy levels. Doing for others is great if it aligns with you, but doing for others when it is inconvenient for you, or a chore, means you are not necessarily following your intuition to do what is right for you. Say yes with a smile and do something with grace, but only if it is right for you. Otherwise, you will end up drained.
If you have too much to do for others, or you set yourself up with too many tasks to do in a day, this can create overwhelm, and you can end up feeling drained.
Stress, anxiety, overwhelm are all stimulated by negative energy and this comes from a feeling within you that amplifies if you take on other people’s energy.
So many people get affected by other people’s energy and do not realise it, that is why clearing, grounding and protecting your space works wonders.
Clearing your space stops you from getting drained as every time you feel a bit off balance, clearing your space puts you back in balance.
Grounding gives you strength, stability and enhances confidence, and better yet, it allows you to be in the present moment, which helps you make those decisions that are right for you, by allowing you to stand in your own authority.
Protection acts as a buffer, a bit like putting on a warm coat if it is cold outside, acting as that layer of insulation that keeps you warm, cosy and protected.
The bottom line is you never need to feel drained by anyone’s energy.
All you need to do is clear, ground and protect to retain balance, positivity, calm and confidence.
